  • The goat, calf and cow...

    Goat and goat male skin:

Our skins goats or goats come from the Sahel region, between Mopti and Timbuktu more precisely, region where we find a kind of goat called "Baa Djan".
They must be big enough to access the leaves of shrubs, the grass being rare at certain seasons in this region.
These goats give rather thick skins even very thick for the males.
They are ideal for mounting djembes.

    Cow, calf and beef skins:

Two categories: fine skins for djembes and thick skins for doums.

We pull our cattle skins on porticoes so that they dry quickly and they do not curl up.
We thus obtain smooth and easy to control skins before mounting.
We prefer veal skins for the assembly of djembes, cow for the sangbans and kenkenis, and the skins of beef for the dununbas.

  • The suit cases

In this category, you will find instrument covers made of synthetic fabric for djembe or balafon. They are decorated with traditional Mandingo symbols, using natural dyes.
